CloudLinux OS, Imunify360 & KernelCare
Sold as a single bundle because they are built to run together. CloudLinux OS keeps hosting accounts apart and the server stable, Imunify360 finds and cleans what gets in, and KernelCare patches the kernel without rebooting β included with the Imunify360 half at no extra cost.
Three products, one licence
Each solves a different problem, and each is weaker without the other two.
Keeps accounts apart and the server upright. LVE caps the CPU, memory and I/O any one account can take, so a busy neighbour cannot starve the rest. CageFS hides the filesystem from each account. MySQL Governor stops a runaway query taking the database down. PHP, Python, Node and Ruby selectors let each account choose its own version.
Finds what gets in, and cleans it up. Malware scanning with one-click β usually automatic β cleanup, a web application firewall whose rules CloudLinux maintains rather than you, and Proactive Defense, which watches how scripts behave and stops attacks that have no signature yet.
Patches the kernel without rebooting. Kernel vulnerabilities normally mean scheduling downtime or living with the risk. KernelCare applies the fix to the running kernel, so the server stays patched and stays up. Included with your Imunify360 licence at no extra cost.
WordPress caching, set up for you. Object caching, critical CSS and image optimisation applied per account without the customer installing a plugin β and PHP X-Ray to find what is actually slow instead of guessing.
Which account caused yesterday's load. Across every server you run, not one at a time. On a dense node this is the difference between knowing and guessing. Included from Shared Pro upwards.
Tied to the IP, not to a person. We register the licence against your server's IP when the order is provisioned, and you can move it to a new IP yourself if the server changes.
Licence tiers and pricing
Priced by how many hosting accounts run on the server. Live pricing, straight from our catalog.
Every tier bundles CloudLinux OS with Imunify360, and KernelCare comes with Imunify360. Monthly and annual terms; volume discounts on request.
Count accounts, not sites
The tier is set by how many hosting accounts live on the server. A single account running twelve sites is still Solo; twelve customers with an account each is not.
Solo is one account on your own VPS or dedicated server β isolation, the language selectors and AccelerateWP, with Imunify360 over the top. Admin takes it to five and adds LVE resource limits, which is the point at which accounts belong to different people and should not be able to reach each other.
Shared Pro is the complete CloudLinux β LVE, CageFS, MySQL Governor, every selector, AccelerateWP, Centralized Monitoring and PHP X-Ray β in 30, 250 and unlimited account sizes. It is the first tier that assumes you are selling hosting rather than running your own sites. Unlimited is priced per server, so a node you keep filling costs the same at 400 accounts as at 251.
CloudLinux, Imunify360 and KernelCare questions
Yes. KernelCare live patching is included with an Imunify360 licence at no extra cost, and every tier we sell bundles Imunify360 with CloudLinux OS. You do not need a separate KernelCare subscription, and if you are paying for one alongside Imunify360 today you can usually drop it.
Not from us. We sell CloudLinux OS and Imunify360 as a single licence per server because that is how the two are meant to run β Imunify360 uses CloudLinux features like CageFS for cleanup and isolation, and the bundle costs less than the parts. KernelCare comes with the Imunify360 half.
Count the hosting accounts on the server, not the sites. One account is Solo. Up to five is Admin. Beyond that you want Shared Pro, which adds LVE resource limits, MySQL Governor and Centralized Monitoring, in 30, 250 or unlimited account sizes. If you are filling a node continuously, unlimited is priced per server and stops the account counting.
To the server's IP address. We register it when the order is provisioned, and you can move it to a different IP yourself from your service page if the server changes.
Yes, both, and with Plesk and standalone servers. CloudLinux OS replaces the distribution on the server, so it sits underneath whichever control panel you run.
One account taking the server down with it. LVE caps what any single account can use of CPU, memory and I/O, MySQL Governor does the same for runaway queries, and CageFS keeps each account from seeing the rest of the filesystem β so a compromised or badly written site is contained rather than shared.
